I'm off to Florida in the summer but can't begin to look forward to it because I suffer really bad heat rashes. It takes over my whole body and looks really, really unattractive. It doesn't really itch but its just awful and I'm really paranoid about it. Can anyone suggest anything that will help prevent it or even anything to take?
I've tried the usual tablets but no luck so far. The doctor said I'd probably grow out of it a few years ago but I'm 21 now and it seems to be getting worse.
All suggestions will be really appreciated :)

I have heard that sunblock can really help....even on parts that dont get the sun.
Last year i bought some suncream by Simple...it was specially formulated for people with sun allergies and contains an anti-irritant.
Am hoping i can find it again this year.....think i got it in a large Boots store.
Best of luck
I get heat rash too - I actually find it is worse when I put lotion on, even if it's for sensitive skin. It's almost as if the lotion sets the rash off - could it block the pores and stop the skin's cooling system? I'm afraid i keep covered up with cotton clothing and just go out in the sun early or late. I am invariably whiter on the plane home than before I went but at least I won't get so many wrinkles!!
A friend swears by a light dusting of athletes foot powder - she has a medical background and there is something in it to alleviate itchiness and redness apparently
