Does anyone know the name of a dental procedure where a denture is fitted directly to the gum by way of sort of press studs? I would like to do some research on this, thank you
I believe these are removable ( the denture not the press studs) unlike the titanium implants, a relative had them fitted as she cannot wear a palette.
Never seen those before, but I see you still have to have an implant to attach the fixings to. I suppose if you have to have a full denture it would be worth considering.
i bet it costs a bomb, especially as my mum has to take Warfarin (sp?) so it would be a pain sorting her meds out, she has to eat though a straw at present but I doubt the NHS would help.
To give some idea my OH has just had 2 ops for implants to be fitted on one side top and bottom, they are going to fit a 3 tooth bridge to each and final bill will be £6000.
