...and it's not even autumn.....(falled out..gettit?)
Omg fgt. That would be my worst nightmare. Glad i have no crowns.
i had that happen with both mine within a week of each other. And yes, it was a shock.
not so much a shock as the bill from the dentist
Was you eating anything at the time, fgt ?.
have you been to look at that Honda yet ?.

lol not eating anything today and probably won't now!!

As hubby is paying for the car I am waiting for him!
Don't blame you, with the not eating today !
So hubby is gonna have a look then Honda.
I would get it checked in case there is a bit left behind that can be a focus for infection
how long had you had it? If you didn't knock it loose by eating crunchy apples or anything then maybe the rest of the tooth itself was what worked loose? As rowan suggests, I'd be getting a dentist to look at it in case of infection.
All I want for christmas is my two front teeth, my two front teeth....

Ooops wrong thread, lol!!xx
Unfortunately you need to get the "hole" seen to see if there are any more nasties. Unfortunately hole will close and you could be in for an infection.

I have had a hole in my crown since a week after it was put in 7 years ago!!! I ended up with a massive infection and despite root canal etc everytime they closed it up I got an infection!

Blasted thing has cost me over a grand so far!
well just rinse your mouth constantly with luke warm and salt and concentrate on that area of the broken tooth. do this many times and of course spit. good luck - dont talk to me about teeth - could write a best seller.
That is horrid FGT, hope you are ok now ? As Conne says, keep rinsing, should be ok. x

cheers flump - feel a bit sicky must be the shock lol I hate anything to do with teeth!!
I would have thought the hole now left behind, with the nerves exposed, would probably cause you some pain sooner or later.
I don't envy you. I too hate dentists :-(

Aw Helen, I feel for you..... at least if there is no tooth at all left, nothing else is going to happen, but it's worth having it checked to make sure it HAS all gone. Was it root-canaled before the crown?
I feel sick as a parrot when I know i have to visit dentist!
I don't know anyone who LIKES going, but I know these days it's a necessary evil.....
You've got me worried now, I have 2 crowns next to each other and they cost £1200 about 7 years ago....
