Guidance Please..

Neighbour has recently been diagnosed as having psychiatric problems. Have spoken with her a few times to give what support I can. However, she keeps repeating to me "why don't you talk to me any more?" "What did I do to you that you don't salute me any more?" (I do talk & salute etc.)
How should I deal with her, & what can I say to reassure her? She is in her late 50s.

Treat her exactly the same way as you did before, she hasn't really changed.

Yes, just carry on as you were. She's noticed a change in your behaviour which is worrying her.

As a neighbour I'm unsure there is much you can do to reassure her except talk to her when she asks. Sounds like her memory is going awry. Very sad.

I suppose it depends on what the psychiatric problem is.id continue talking to her as usual. if your concerned about her wellbeing talk to her family.

If one of her issues is recall, she may need reassuring more than ever that you are still her friend. Bless her , even if she becomes a bit repetitive, keep up the chat and waves.
