Harveys sofas

Has anyone ordered a sofa from this company and found that it won't go thru standard size doors on delivery? What happened next?

Can you not take it through a front window??

You can take the arms off the sofa, they are only bolted on from underneath, just untack the material underneath and unbolt the arms.

My partner took out our window frame with ease when we had our king size bed that wouldn't go up the stairs- but i suppose it depends what kind of windows you have.

We had a similar problem (not bought from Harveys) and fortunately it did eventually go through the window! (the back window via next door's path, having removed his fence panels !!)

The delivery men told us that when this happens and it wont fit the customer is totally liable. Sorry if this is not what you want to hear.

my sister ordered a couch from harveys for her new house about 4 months ago! they delivered it last week without no hassle of getting it through the door. when the delivery men had put it down they left all the packaging on it and left. when she opened it the couch had massive holes in the leather and scratches and she paid 2500 for the couch which has now been taken away but she hasnt got a refund for yet!x
