The only problem you would have is that you need to align your dish fairly accurately, to give good picture quality (no freezing/blocking etc) and would need a special meter to do this. If you're going abroad you might also need to increase the size of your dish to receive all the channels correctly.
Last summer we took our van to Luxembourg and within an hour or so of arriving on site another UK van appeared next to us.
The two sons produced a sky dish and plugged it up and brought the tv into their (now errected) awning.
One lad held the dish like a dinner plate vertically as the other shouted left a bit, right a bit etc. Then yes, youve got it.
At that point they taped the dish to a chair and all sat down to watch England Holland I think it was on tv.
There was nothing near rocket science here. They then had Sky all week as and when.
