Old school Ice Lolly...

Does anyone else remember the old ice lollies called Merlins Brew? They were chocolate/mint flavour as far as i can recall. None of my friends remember them and I neeed someone out there to convince me I'm not nuts!

I remember a chocolate/mint ice lolly from back in the 70's - it was called 'ghost train' though.  Very yummy :)

I don't remember the name, but I certainly remember the smooth tasting chocolate mint lollies - they were delish!

I also remember the equally delicious milky banana lollies - not the watery ones you get these days.

How about Zoom, Mini Milk / Maid or Strawberry Mivi (became split).

How about Screw Balls? The plastic cones filled with Ice cream with a bubble gum in the bottom.

I used to lurve Merlin's Brew choccy ice lollies. They were really chocolatey and not too minty. You couldn't get them everywhere, but my local newsagent had them and me an' a friend used to spend half our pocket money on them. They were quite cheap as well as I remember - cheaper than a 'funny face'!!!

I see its been a while since u posted this but i DO remember merlins brew! they were delicious!! small solid choc ice lolly which was creamy mint flavour....oh i could eat one now thinking about it.

They came in a green wrapper and i used to buy one of them and a Nobbly Bobbly together. I once got my tounge stuck to it with the sheer coldness of it and had to produce lots of saliva to try and prize it off!

They were wicked...wish they would bring them back.

yes i remember it well, it was my favourite in the 80's, all brown but soft and minty mmmmmmm i want one now..

yes a last iam not alone i carnt belive nobody rembers them they was the best they cost 16p and if u got any on your clothes u could never get it out iam so happy i havent gone crazy nd found u who rembers them
