My computer has had problems so it has been to the computer shop.
I think that they must have done something as I now can open any of my Word documents. It is trying to open them in Microsoft Office which has a 60 day trial on it.
How do I revert back to Word?
Thanks

Sorry it should say I can't open any of any word icons on the main screen.
Do you have the original Office disks with the Licence Code on it?
It looks like the computer shop has backed up your personal files and re-installed the computer. You will need to re-install Office.

If you don't have MS Office, there are alternatives that will read, write and edit the files.
Sorry, but I don't quite understand .... you say that, "It is trying to open them in Microsoft Office " .... but which office programme is it trying to open them with, as there are quite a few:
Word, Excel, powerpoint, outlook, publisher and access .... to name a few.

It does sound like Office may have been uninstalled, as WyeDyed suggested, but I'm just trying to clarify this .......
If Word is still installed then find the document in the file explorer, right click on it and choose Open With, and then select 'Choose default program' and select Word making sure that the Use this application for all ... is ticked.
