I agree with New Judge (different area though). I`m glad I was away and missed the chaos of the roads being closed. Seems to be happening on a regular basis now.

The roads weren't closed - it was just that for a nice change some other people got to use them exclusively

good thing you weren't here, sorry mate but they shut much of London down for two days. You wouldn't have cared to have sat as i and many others did on a sweltering bus, no getting off either, for over 1 hour and 30 minutes, logged jammed. I took different route to go out but it didn't make a jot of difference, they simply cordoned many of the roads off. There were signs up, but i can't believe that this might be an annual event, people were stuck in cars, think if you are elderly, or little children, not going any place.

one can give money to charity without shutting the capital down, you can have no idea of how bad this was. Many people asked the driver to get off, but being some way from home that would have been a blessed long walk for me. After two hours i was home.
