estate agent error they are reluctant to rectify
Hi myself and the wife sold our property for quite a profit in November couldn't find anywhrere to buy so are renting -place all going well property managed soley through Estate Agents however on 30th Jan we recieved a letter advising us we had missed Januarys rent and had been charged 25, after a rather stern phone call from my self the agents admitted they were wrong as we had in fact given a cheque (which cleared) to one of the partners on Dec 17th I have asked estate agents for a letter confirming their error
and clarifying no detrement to our records 3 times in the last 2 weeks but have yet to receive even though they assured me it was sent, all other post recieved without problem. Is there a reason they don't want to admit thier mistake I am not aware of.......................... anyone????

You coluld always ask them to fax a copy of the letter to you with a copy of the special delivery receipt, proof of them sending it to you. Alternatively, go and collect the letter from them.
Estate agents are busy and lazy at the same time (weird combination). They probably see your letter as an item low down on their priority list, unfortunately.
