Word of warning though, if my memory setves me right, you can get off at Camden tube on a Sunday but in the afternoon you can't get back on, you'll have to walk to another station (Mornington Crescent or Chalk Farm), could have all changed recently though, we usually drive in.

Back from our day out! - absolutely shattered! I have never ever seen so many people in one place - it was heaving - and more foreigners than brits but I'm glad we went - loved all the arty crafty stalls - and the food by the Lock was gorgeous. Think I'll go again Feb/March time - it might be a little less crowded!
i confess i don't like the place, it's dark, dingy and definitely not my cup of tea, and it isn't because i am old. I have visited with friends who wanted to go there, so showed them round, but not lately. I remember what the area was like long before it became the market, family all lived around that area.
