Sealing Concrete Floor

Morning,

Daughter moving into a house where the floor has just been dug up, insulation stuff plut down and floor screeded, finished about 5 days ago. every time its swept more dust comes off. what can it be sealed with please?

there is at least one bonding liquid you can paint on, think Polybond may be a brand (made by polyfilla), and you paint it on, leave to dry and that's it sealed. Get it in paint or DIY shops. Works quite well!

5 days is too short a time the concrete will not be fully set to the full strength yet , leave it another week and then seal it.

probably go with builders pva, seems cheap and the ad says for dustproofing, thats what we need.

Ronseal make a liquid concrete seal - 5 litre tin covers 30 sq metres and costs around £38 from B&Q. Apply with a roller, it soaks into the surface and is touch-dry in about an hour. We used it (or something similar) on our garage floor about 15 years ago and it's still completely dust-free.
