Yesterday took a walk to the butchers to get a chicken for dinner. Got home, unpacked it and it smelt a bit funny. I gave it a wash in case it was the packaging and noticed it was green around the neck and wings. Took it back to the butchers (he offered me a new one which I politely declined) got my money back and bought a chicken from the co-op that wasn't likely to make us ill.

Yesterday evening went to Morrisons for a few bits. Bought 2 Talapia fish and asked the fish monger to fillet them. Just took them out of the packaging and all 4 fillets are complete with bones!! Complete with bones, tails and fins...

Who trains these people?? Surely filleting a fish is basic training?

O_G...we should have known when he took two fish away and came back a while later and got another one!
A green chicken from a butchers is shockingly poor, especially when they're Apparantly so desperate to retain customers.

I hate morrisons. I bought my dad some fresh apple turnovers on Father's Day. They were so fresh they hadn't even bothered to cook the pastry. Poor dad didnt have the heart to tell me,until I noticed he'd only had one bite.

I won't be using the butchers again.

This is the first time I've had a problem with Morrison's. We got properly filleted fish and money back.

Dinner was late but lush :-)
well done ummmm, I must admit I like morrisons' fish :-)
Glad you finally got your lovely dinner ummmm.

Thanks :-)
Buy cheap and.....

Go to Aldi next time - great fish for their fish and chips (bake 10 minutes longer than they say, esp if you are using an "Agaar."....can't speak for Aldi's Chics.

As long as things worked out well for the munchies....

I don't think the quality of Aldi/Lidl is as good. I do like their cooked meats though.
