Happy Things

Ok, so we all seem a little down in the dumps. Thing that make me happy are:

Chocolate, wine, bed, films (all incorporated if poss)

I will continue down there \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/

• Cuddling up with my neice and watching Wizard of Oz


• Spending time with my friends


• Jelly tots


• Waking up at 12:45am and realising I still have ages left in bed


• Shopping when I don't have to worry about how much I spend

• Being sat in a car when it is absoultely lashing down with rain


• Sunshine at the weekend when I am not working!

1. Cuddles from my daughter

2. bed, bed, bed

3. haribo

4. mindless entertainment films (Die Hard, Con Air, etc)

5. sitting in the sunshine on my patio with a beer on a summer's evening after work.

6. My daughter's giggles.

• Getting all the housework done by 10am on a Saturday morning


• Being able to hang lots of washing out on the line on a sunny day and not having to worry about drying it


• Pottering about the house on a Spring morning with a duster and some music on in the background

Oh dear, I didn't realise I liked housework so much.

• Going to bed knowing I don't have to get up for work the next day, and will have time to cook myself a proper English breakie. Yay !


• A day off shopping ending at the pub with my friends.


• reading a Bill Bryson book, and being able to laugh my head off and not look like an idiot!


• buying lots of girlie mags, ice cream and wine, curling up on the sofa in my robe, and watch friends.


• coming out of the hairdresser NOT looking like I stuck my fingers in a socket.


• strangers smiling at me on the street.


• unexpected offers to go out on a bad day.

I'm sure I could go on ! :-) Oh, and Happy Valentines to all of us happy singletons !

• driving my car with my favourite music blaring


• shopping

• making fairy cakes

- Driving in the car and singing ridiculously loud and obnoxiously

- That feeling you get when you wake up at the weekend, and think you have work for a split second, but then realise it's a Saturday/Sunday

- Trashy Sci-fi

- When I cook a meal from a recipie and it goes totally 100% perfect

- My dog being insanely happy to see me, even if I've just stepped outside for a minute or two.
