Always carry an appropriate first aid kit - it might be needed when you cannot get to the shops/chemist.
Clothing for all weathers - especially necessary in the UK. Dependent upon the type of holiday you are taking there is no need to take clothes for all occasions, just that which is suitable for your needs.
Sufficient provisions in case of breakdowns - they do happen to the best of vehicles.
I hope the weather is kind to you and you have a nice holiday.

A lot will depend on the amount of storage space you have divided by the the number (and ages) of travellers. You could try allowing each person a maximum volume and ask them to chose what they wish to take with them. No doubt the provisions side of storage will be down to the "housekeeper" as would the minimum amount of clothing/underwear for children.
We are also off on Monday in our touring caravan and I always take too much - "everything but the kitchen sink" is the family expression! There is only me and Hubby going for 8 days, I always take food with me to last most of the week, but this year I'm not going to - there is an Aldi 2 miles from us so all I take is a good meal for when we arrive. I take a flask of hot water so as soon as we get our pitch, the first priority is a cuppa, even before we have connected the electricity. I take clothes for all weathers (you have to on our holidays!) but always take too many, especially dressy kind of clothes which i never wear unless we go out for a "posh" meal.
Enjoy your holiday Jenarry, which area are you off to? We are only going 80 miles across to the East coast where we have found a hidden gem of a caravan park, adults only, immaculate and an immense beach nearby with oodles of space even on a Bank Holiday!

thanks everyone. I'm thinking of taking a weeks worth of clothes and washing half way through. there are supermarkets nearby but we like to take quite a bit of food especially as my son has gluten allergy and his food isn't always easy too find. And son is diabetic so there is a lot of insulin related stuff to take too. I always seem to take too many warm clothes and it gets too hot or vice versa so will try to do better at this this time.
