Whoever left him there must have hoped that people who recycle are more likely to take the hamster in, it's still a sh1tty thing to do though :(

it has a stubby bald tail but is v. active, eating & drinking well. Poor thing was left in full sun.

Where would I find its chip ?

I'd take it off your hands, but I have an Evil spawn of Satan aka a cat, who'll no doubt make hammy wish he was back by the dumpster if I took it on!

Ive got cats and dogs but have put Scratcher out of reach of them. I think I'll give it to my g'son and risk the DIL wrath :(
