Stuck on three this time: 27A When away simmer a lot of stew without fruit (9). I think it's PERSIMMON (fruit) but can't see how.
18D Another aspect of someone revealed by jerk on Sky? (4,4)
23D Start to gasp in terrible air? (5). I have D _ R _ A, which can't be right!

Thanks, Mamyalynne. I had 29A as Hawkmoth, which was leading me astray. I see now that it's BEHEMOTH, which makes much more sense. Can you tell me how PERSIMMON is the answer for 27A?
Persimmon - anag 'simmer' (in) 'pon(d)' (stew; fish pond)
