If you mean the tune from one of the colour films shown in the rebuilt Cinema Paradiso, that would be "Anna" (the title tune from the film of the same name) sung by Silvana Mangano.

A .WAV soundfile of the song is available to download here.

The Avalanches used the guitar riff from the above song in their song "Frontier Psychiatrist".
