what does the word "fazed" mean. I`ve just heard it on TV but can`t find it in the dictionary or Google. thanks

There is a fictitious space futuristic Sci-fi weapon called a Phasor (or Phaser if you're British). It is supposed to scramble the molecules and cause anything from a mild headache to total destruction. If you had been at the receiving end of such a thing you could be said to have been "phased". I think it was a Roddenberry invention and it rhymmes so easily with "Dazed"
I'd have opted for the spelling 'phased' but the Urban Dictionary recognises both:
