Poem about Dooley
2 Answers
I can remember part of a poem about a conscientious objecter during the war called Dooley who is being tried by a judge.
Dooley objects to going to war but the judge asks him about what if he would do if a German was attacking his sister and Dooley says he would knock his head off, so the judge thinks he has proved Dooley is not a pacifist.
Does anyone know what I am talking about?
