Can anyone recommend a very cheap tablet for use in my bedroom - its for me to use at night for the AB, twitter etc.
I wont be watching any films so the quality does not need to be THAT brilliant
A large Tescos will have both these on display - if you have time to pop in go have a poke at both of them.
I have found the Archos slow and frustrating when having a quick go, it depends on your tolerance. I would always recommend the Nexus 7 as the "bottom rung" for something worth actually buying...
Depends on what you call very cheap. PC World are advertising the Samsung Tab for £129. I've had one for quite a while now and think it's brill. As pay £80 or whatever you call chaep I'd think it would be well worth the extra.
predictably i'll chip in here with the recomendation of the Kobo Arc, though it was on offer at £99 for the 16gb up to sunday, now it's back at £159.99 but will be £99 again shortly. it's great and i've discovered the TVcatchup android app and i can watch any freeview tv channel with a 3 minute delay on it.
yes i will cos i have added it to my grandson's android tablet too. i don't understand why it works like it does because it's just like having your tele , strange
I meant you shouldn't "go lower" because that is where the first quality experience can be achieved. I said "consider it bottom rung" rather than it IS bottom rung - more of a compliment to tell the truth.
"Although I would have liked an HDMI jack."
It's useful if there - look for a way to do some kind of DLNA thing?
The Samsung Tab might be alright - is it the first or second one? (Or third maybe?) the first one was pretty dire, the second was pretty good.
No idea if my Samsung Tab is First, second or third. I've had it just short of 12 months. If anything happened to it I'd but another I like it so much.
