Hi I'm hoping that someone can answer my queerie regarding my LG fridge Freezer, yesterday I noticed that it was not working resulting with me having to
Throw the freezer goods away has it had defrosted, the interior light was working only, this morning I heard the ice cubes falling into the box, when I checked it was again working ok what do you think caused this? This is the first time this has happened, I have had it for 9 years with no problems.

Have you by any chance knocked a temperature control button, so that it's much warmer than it ought to be? On the other hand, after 9 years, it might just have worn out.

Whilst I can no idea I vaguely recall a freezer problem thread not so very long ago where the cause was some vent that had frozen up, causing temperature issues I guess after a defrost it may be ok for a while.
It may pay you to check inside, behind screwed panels, and stuff. And try a search of the forum to see if you can spot the thread in question.
There again this may be one giant 'red herring'.

My bet would be that the thermostat is on the way out – and that the fault is likely to reoccur.

This company may stock the thermostat for your model:-

It is normally a fairly simple procedure to change the thermostat – but remember to unplug the fridge first.
