I do have a problem,

I have just aquired a PC with a GA- 8IPE1000 Pro Mobo, the problem is I can't get no sound, the speakers work fine on my HP (High Price ;) ) machine, I have also tried my old speakers on new machine -no luck, I have reinstalled drivers, been through trouble shooter, checked all wireing, still no luck. Im running XP. ready to install 98 to see if that works. most likley hardware, thogh device manager shows no Probs, Speakers are Hercules XPS 210.

hmm, does it have onboard sound? have you checked your BIOS settings?

Also go into `Control Panel/Audio & Sounds' and make sure that your speaker volume has not been muted.

Thanks Fellas, it was just the seetings where you change the speaker setup in advanced audio options :)
