Try keeping him on a lead when you let him out to do his business, and if he goes to eat any lying daeces, pull him away sharply and shout "No!" at him, ands take him back insidde. After a few times, he'll learn, and you can try him without the lead. Oncce he's broken of this habbit, he should stay away from it.
In the interests of tidyness and hygene, you should remove all lying faeces - including your own dog's, to prevent germs and infections.
