My daughter (45) has worked for a number of years at a wildlife rescue centre and has much experience of caring for injured animals but doesn't have any qualifications to move on, which her circumstances now demand.
Has anyone got any personal experience of animal care courses leading to a qualification, or in fact any advice at all? Thank you.
Yes, Berkshire College of Agriculture is a great place with a really good range of courses. I think they do Residential, weekly or termly, if you're not local.
The Animal Care College does correspondence courses with many different subjects. It includes training days and every student gets a 'mentor' to work with. It has grown since its inception, starting with Kennel and Cattery management courses. I did the Diploma of Kennel Management back in the 80's. http://www.animalcarecollege.co.uk/
