Could anyone advise if these are 'universal' or one-size fits all ?
Im struggling to decided to have traditonal plugs or 'click clack' ones or the ones that operate by a push pull plunger.

There's inch and a quarter or inch and half plastic pipe, adapters are easily available to convert the one to the other so go ahead and get what you want.
IMO the less fancy the less likely to go wrong. I'd suggest the traditional pick is less likely to give you hassle at a later date.
Yes, they're standard, Popple. Don't go for a "pop-up" though (the ones with a push-rod sticking up by the tap). They tend to catch every bit of hair and gunk. Then they need dismantling for cleaning.

Most people seem to like the push-type (push down to close ........ then push again to open up.)
I have the one that builder said not to get. I agree with him...
