Accountancy and Property??

I'm hopefully going to be qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA) next year and am thinking about options when/if I pass! I've always been interested in property and property development and am wondering whether anyone knows of any opportunities to combine accountancy in the property sector (other than being an internal auditor or a financial controller)?

Any ideas, contacts, or personal experience would be much appreciated...

in the evenig standard last wednesday there was an article about a franchise available whereby you find/spot/hunt down land, obtain planning permission, and then you pocket a percentage of the uplift in value when the deal is done. www.profitinland.co.uk.

Hi,

Have you thought about going into a joining a legal firm as a CGT adviser (may clients who have properties as investments when they come to sell are not aware of this) you could charge a fortune.

My parents have a finincal adviser who works for them full time of property developemtsn and Capital Gains Tax and also on types of mortgages (not a mortgage advers0 but works with the lenders to get good rates) !
