Does anyone know who was responsible for a caberet/big band cover of Jump by Van Halen? I also think the same person did a cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit as well.

Peter Kay performed a big band version of Jump on some random daytime Tv programme. it wasn't anything really popular. i can't even remember what it was called now. You might be able to download it from imesh or summat.

It's crusty old Canadian balladeer Paul Anka, who "wrote" My Way (i.e. he nicked it off a French bloke and put some self-congratulatory English lyrics to it). Terrifyingly, he's done a whole album of this sort of thing. It's called Rock Swings and also features such his renditions of Survivor's Eye Of The Tiger, Oasis's Wonderwall, and The Cure's Lovecats among others.
