Driving License...

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get a picture license?

I lost my paper license about, errrr, 15 years ago!!...I need to hire a car soon (October)

Mine came really quickly. It used my (extremely old) passport photo so I didn't have to get a new one done. Didn't cost anything either.

Ps - himself has hired vans without showing his licence, they an ring the DVLA and check you have got one (they must have a special phone number) but ou would need to check that they still do that.
