I've just checked my photocard driving license and it expires in March. I have received no letters from the DVLA about how to renew, so I am wondering if anyone on here knows what forms i need to complete and what other supporting documents I will need.

With thanks

You can do it on-line now, if you have a passport https://www.gov.uk/change-photo-driving-licence
you can do it online if you have a recently updated passport. If not, you need to send your old one off along with a photo and the £20. Or you can get the PO to do the photo and send it digitally. Do you have the same address, as it's unusual for them not to send a reminder 2 months in advance
If you've renewed your passport within the past 5 years you can do it online. (Otherwise click 'Other ways to apply'):

I really must learn to type faster!
No reminders sent out. The onus is on the holder to renew before the expiry date.
i just renewed mine and i got a reminder

I've recently moved house, maybe they sent it there. I did have a redirection in place though!!?
I still have the old green licence with no photo, do I need to do something?
It's probably lucky that you've got to renew it now then. It's a criminal offence not to notify DVLA of your change of address!
silliemillie, you'll need to get a new one when your current licence expires (check the date!)
Silliemillie:
You (and I) don't need to do anything until we reach the age of 70, when we must renew our licences (and get photocard ones) anyway.

That assumes that there are no changes required to your licence, such as a change of name or address.
Oh thanks, thats ok then, dont reach 70 for quite some time yet!
Boxtops:
The old licences did, at one time, have expiry dates on them but all of those still in force no longer expire until the holder reaches the age of 70 (which applies to all licences anyway).
If you do need a driving licence form then any Post Office will have them. It's a generic form, just tick the bits you need (eg renewal).
Yet again something else that if you dont do they will criminalise you and at the same charge you £20 for the privilege of getting done.
2 pound a year doesn't seem all that unmanagable
