No Hot Water...
this morning:-(
Not sure why but I'm guessing its the boiler
Is this the stage where I should ring the firm I pay a DD too or is there something I should do first?
I have checked the heating and that is not working too

I did ring the company and they suggested changing batteries in the timer. I couldn't find anywhere on mine for batteries to go, but yours might have them. I found a switch inside the airing cupboard labelled "mains boiler" which i have now put on and the heating, hot water and timer are now working. However, I'm not sure if that switch is supposed to be permanently on, the TV has switched off a few times and I'm wondering if it's overloading something. But yes, look for batteries, pressure (red and black hands should be at the same place) and check fuses and switches first.
I don`t know what sort of boiler you have but I have a combination boiler and there is a little gauge at the bottom. The marker in the gauge should be between 1 and 1 1/2 bars. That`s a measure of the pressure (I think). Mine has been known to go back to O and when that happens, the boiler won`t fire up. There is a little tap on a tube under the boiler and when I open it, that lets more water into the system and the gauge shows the correct setting and the boiler works again.
