Hi Slack....I was staying in a hotel with the daughter when she took ill and had to go to bed. I told her I was quite happy to sit in the lounge area with a drink and my knitting....She said I would look like Miss Marple.
That was when I planned the perfect knitting needle murder....☻
I knitted mic an aran jumper. Although I say it my self it was gorgeous. The first time he wore it he was asked by many where he bought it from. When he said the wife knitted it I was approached to knit more. I declined. He sold the jumper for £125. It cost me £11 for the wool. This was back in the 80's. I put hours in to making that jumper and told him never again.

Jeza, how did you allow him to live? A labour of love rejected!
My mum used to knit arran sweaters, she used to knit so many of them. When I was pregnant she knitted me two shawls for the baby, and I'd never part with them. It's a shame that she can't knit any more because of her dementia, as she really needs something to occupy her
Jeza,I had the same with my daughter. When she was younger I knitted her a sweater in white Promise wool with red lips all over it ,. She said it was itchy and sold it to her friend for a fiver. I could have slaughtered her. Gness I am using rainbow wool for my socks in shades of orange and brown. It was bloody expensive, but I don't actually sit down very often so they are there for when I do.
Daisy, he asked me to make him another one. I can't say what my answer was as I would be banned.
Oh dear, Jeza. I can understand.
Some knitting can be beneficial.
As a shy Fresher at Uni I sat knitting in the common room as I knew no one to talk to and hated my digs. Young man came up and asked what it would cost to knit him a sweater. I said, the cost of the wool and take me to the Fresher's Ball.
Cinderella did go to the Ball!
Don't know how I had the cheek. I was very lonely.
