Have spent the afternoon in the pub with friends watching the GP and am now about to head for the kitchen and do some batch cooking and knock up something for supper.
Fingers crossed their is a decent film or drama to entertain me in the background.
Hi Eccles, I've been working most of the day. Home for the moment, then tea calls. All gone well though. The only thing is, i need to pop into shop, but we only seem to want toilet rolls and wine. I can't just go and buy those two items. Embarrassing!
I can't remember the last time I had a lazy day with my OH, he's never flippin' about!
Pixie, go for it.......I love observing random shopping baskets. Yours is nowhere near as bad as the guy who bought six bottles of vodka and six tins of dog food; he had a problem but he wasn't going to let his pet suffer!
Dinner didn`t materialise today - I went to Sainsburys and bought a chicken. When I got it home, there was a rather large maggot crawling over the packaging. I took it back and they asked me if I wanted another one! Not from their maggot infested fridges, I didn`t.
I was enjoying my Sunday until Mr Tiggs called me just before 4 to tell me he was coming to visit. I was not pleased as he lives about an hour and half away and give or take traffic he wouldn't arrive until 6ish. Little Tiggs goes to bed at 7 so what would be the point.
I've had quite a stressful week this week which hasn't done my stomach problems any good. Little Tiggs started at his new nursery Wednesday and I now know what it feels like for mothers on the first day of school. My nerves were shot. Little Tiggs cried when I left him and ran to me crying when I went to pick him up. By the end of the week he was fine though so all good.
It does get better, tiggs. Before long you'll be picking him up and wondering where the time went. I was a bit tearful with the first, but less so with number 4 :-).
237SJ, I poured a bowl of cornflakes for a client this morning, from a new box. A dead spider fell into the bowl. I've not wanted to eat anything since!
Thanks Eccles, I bought apples too. So that made it better (?)
Must admit my stomach was churning the first 2 days but by Friday I had relaxed a bit. Good job I was at work and occupied. When I say occupied, I mean occupied with another stressful situation. One of my colleagues had a disciplinary hearing and was dismissed!
That was stressful as I used to get on really well with the guy but he shouldn't have done what he did. But as you say, I had my own situation going on so I was too wrapped up to think about him as well as Little Tiggs.
Not a nice thing to be around Tiggs, especially if you knew them well :(
I've had a really nice afternoon, sat with a coffee and my book outside a coffee shop then met a friend for lunch then another friend for coffee. Got some more bird feeding bits (I think I'm obsessed!) and peanuts for a squirrel then managed to get a washing line up (well, just one that hangs from fence to fence) to hang some off. Still no little birds, just a wood pigeon and squirrel so far that I've seen.
Tiggs, I once had to report a colleague for a serious security breach. He was dismissed and I felt terrible, I had done the right the thing and that was what I held on to. I felt pretty bad for a while but he was in the wrong.
Been to wish happy 16th birthday to my granddaughter, pinched a piece of her pizza (her choice), and then off to the pub with her dad for a couple of celebratory pints.
