Does anyone know how many books there are in Robert Jordans "The Wheel of Time" series? I was told it was 10 but that seems like a lot...i've only just started The Eye Of The World but im gripped already! Thanks in advance

There are currently 11 books in the series plus a prequel.

As you can see there are 11 published novels of The Wheel of Time, and one published Prequel!

The TOR editorial has it that there will be 2 more prequels and at least 14 novels in total (according to Robert Jordan's last interview... but he's been saying "only 4 more books" since The Dragon Reborn which is book 3!)
There's only one thing that will stop him churning more out: falling sales. These days even the author's death (see Frank Herbert) won't stop more books in a popular series being published.
