I dont need editing - i have photoshop, but I would like something to help store and organise my photos - something that has some useful functions, like duplicate finder etc perhaps

any recommendations?

You can download Windows Photo Gallery for free. it is part of Windows Essentials 2012.

It sorts your photos by date, and you can "tag" them and so on.

No duplicate finder that I am aware of but I have not explored all the functions.
