No contest really, take a test drive in both and you will have no trouble deciding! I wont say which one, you should be able to guess!
you get more for your money in the seat and personally I think the impreza, even though ive driven one and itwas the nuts, aint the best looking motor.

Having just wrapped a Cupra R round a lamp post I can report that it is a very sturdy car as I walked away with no injuries!! I definitely recommend the Cupra, you get more for your money, its less likely to be stolen, insurance is cheaper and you dont look like you are having a mid life crisis!

The Cupra R is an underated very reliable hot hatch that I will definitely be buying again once my insurance money comes through.

An Impreza is certainly not "the best looking motor", if thats whats important to you, it was designed to be functional and effective, not pretty. But how anyone can claim that you get more for your money in a Cupra is a mystery to me! More what? Power?, er no, handling? no again, Four wheel drive traction and control? nope. And the Cupra is not exactly cheap. I agree that the insurance will probably be more on the Subaru, but that reflects its far superior performance, they simply never, ever break down, and are not outragouly expensive to service. Plus this bit about Imprezas being stolen all the time is an urban myth, if it has a decent security system fitted, (as it will) then those days are gone, Imprezas are just not that fasionable any more. The Cupra is a very good car, just not a great one!

Standard Turbo Impreza bhp = 227bhp, 0-60 = 5.6seconds, 143 mph top speed

Seat Leon Cupra R bhp = 225bhp, 0-60 = 6.7seconds, 150mph top speed

Fairly evenly matched in terms of performance!

I love subarus but the Seat wins hands down in terms of refinement & interior design.

Anyways have you considered an Evo?

That's the problem I like Cupra's Scooby's and Evo's

But i need a comfortable & quick car with enough room for 2/3 adults & 2 kids.

I really like the above and with my wife getting the main family car mine will only be full about 5% of the time so in theory it will be just a Boy's toy.

But 225bhp through the front wheels?? no thanks.
impret_sir, the what I meant by saying "you get more for your money", was in terms of internal gadgets and all round design. even thought the subaru is an impressive bit of kit, it sucks in the interior design dept, you should at least admit that. Saying that, it certainly makes up for it in speed, handling blah blah blah. Some people do not go for cars on performance alone, a bit of a cool interior and gadgetry interior may persuade someone over a slight difference in speed, BHP etc etc.
