Picture yourself, on a boat, on a river... Shatner did a whole outrageous album; was it the shifting whispering sands by any chance? so Surreal, his singing, that i got 2 of them. Others - Rolf Harris doing Stairway to Heaven. he did a whole album of classics too.
David Hasselhoff.....
Leonard Nimoy did something similar - in fact i bought the CD for my brother for christmas (cos i'm evil like that)
Yul Brynner, if memory serves...
Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady - awful...the bloke who played Kojak - terrible....John Travolta in Grease - excruciating.
The one and only time I saw 'Stars in their eyes' was when Roy Cropper from Corrie pretended to be Roy Orbison, and ex Corrie baddy Joe Carter thought that he sounded like Harry Connick jr. Dreadful doesn't begin to describe them!!
Bill Tarmey - Corrie's Jack Duckworth has released an album or two. He sounds like Vic Reeves' club singer.

Jason Donovan? Come to think of it he wasn't an actor either!
Anything William Shatner massacred pales into insignificance beside the truly awesome dreadfulness of Leonard Nimoy's "Bilbo Baggins." (quick pause to shudder.)
But Rolf Harris was actually a singer though (amongst many other things), rather than just trying to be one. And I liked his version of "Stairway to Heaven."
From Hollywood, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Hillary Duff... oh, but they can't act, either.
Telly Savalas wrote a long sleevenote on his debut album "Telly" which beat around the bush a bit but basically came down to "yes, I know I can't sing. I'm sorry." It didn't stop him making a second album, though. And a third. And a fourth...
Lee Marvin I was born under a wandering star

I was born under a wandrin' star, I was born under a wandrin' star. Wheels are made for rollin' mules are made to pack. I've never seen a sight that didn't look better looking back. I was born under a wandrin' star. Mud can make you prisoner, and the plains can bake you dry. Snow can burn your eyes, but only people make you cry. Home is made for comin' from, for dreams of goin' to, which with any luck will never come true. I was born under a wandrin' star, I was born under a wandrin' star.

...Do I know where hell is? Hell is in hello. Heaven is in goodbye for ever, it's time for me to go. When I get to heaven tie me to a tree, or I'll begin to roam, and soon you know where I will be. I was born under a wandrin' star, a wandrin' wandrin' star. Mud can make you prisoner, and the plains can bake you dry. Snow can burn your eyes, but only people make you cry. Home is made for comin' from, for dreams of goin' to, which with any luck will never come true. I was born under a wandrin' star, a wandrin' wandrin' star. I was born under a wandrin' star, I was born...........
