I am not a fan of the spelling and grammar police who pick holes in posts. I am guilty of typos, spelling and grammatical errors as much as the next ABer; as long as the meaning is clear then I tend to let it go.

I've just seen a post on Facebook where a proud Mum has announced that her son has started his first job. Amongst all the congratulatory messages a family member has posted "Were so proud!" My immediate thought was " OMG, what has the young guy done to let you down so soon?" I then twigged........

It's amazing how a trivial typo can completely change the nature of the message!

Sorry, Tilly2. I had had one too many hads following "Smith". This, I think is correct: "Where Smith had had “had”, Jones had had “had had”: “had had” had had great weight with the examiners." I told you that I just woke up:)

Oh sh!t where's the Kevlar........
My pet hate is when peoe type 'should of' or 'could of', when it's should/could HAVE.
I remember Robbie Savage doing it on a BBC thread. OK, he's your sterotypical thick-as-a-workhouse-buttie footballer, but we deserve better for our licence fee payment.
2 of my annoyances:-

those who misrepresent contractions, that is "might of" for might've, for might have - or should of, could of, etc.

and those who render the french "tout de suite" (meaning right away) as "toot sweet" - which should stay where it belongs in chitty chitty bang bang.
People even! 5 days without a laptop and having to do all my online stuff via my iPhone is wearing a bit thin!
These examples are hilarious. What about "he was sat at the table" instead of "he was sitting at the table"?
My pet hates it's tale been pulled.
"There, they're and their" are NOT typographical errors. They are lack of basic education.
There's a big printed notice in the TK Maxx window in Kettering (been on display for yonks) saying 'Heavenly Labels, Earthy Prices'...
Spelling police... blimey I thought MR was back. I like typo's sometimes thwir funnyier than what the person meant ta post.
