This is how you should have worked it out:

A light that is ON represents a binary 1
A light which is OFF represents a binary 0

Read the columns from left to right
Read individual columns from top to bottom

I will start you off:
Column 1 = binary 01 = denary 1
Column 2 = binary 0000 = denary 0
Column 3 = binary 100 = denary 4

You can use online calculators to convert between binary and denary (decimal)
