what does the person like? My relative said she didn't want presents, she asked for donations to charity, she doesn't need anything material.

I'd always pictured you as a 30yo clubber, Kate!

Since earrings can cost anything from a few pounds to a few million pounds, we've not really got any idea of your budget. Perhaps you could tell us how much you're thinking of spending, please?

As a first suggestion though, how about treating your friend (and yourself) to a night out at somewhere other than a bingo hall? e.g. tickets to a show or a meal in a nice restaurant?

I think bingo hall as she loves the bingo and would appreciate it,she went a lot when her husband was alive,now she only goes on the Tuesday afternoon with me,

That's enough for a couple of theatre tickets (as long as it's a regional theatre, not the West End) and a meal in your local J D Wetherspoon pub.

buenchico,my friend is deaf,she cant hear what they're saying,althiugh she has a hearing aid she doesn't find it enjoyable,i have tried it with her before.
