Fibre Optic Broadband.
I'm having fibre optic broadband installed next Monday. The router will go downstairs, next to the incoming phone socket. My PC is upstairs, directly above it.
What is the best way to connect the two?
I can drop an ethernet cable down through the floor and ceiling for a hard wired connection, or
I have a spare pci slot in my PC where I could fit a wireless card and antenna, or
I can use a special pair of mains plugs to send the broadband through the 240v mains.
Which is the most efficient, and have I missed any better alternative.

p.s. I also have an upstairs office right above my Virgin router and dropped a cable down through the floor/ceiling. I then "boxed" it in with plastic trunking downstairs so you hardly notice it.
I also have a 4 way "hub" (or switch) in my office so I can plug 4 devices (PCs, printers etc) into the one Ethernet cable.
