car roof lineing marked and smells of old stale greasy hair or could have been hair cream

Would anyone know how to get the stain out of a roof of a car that smells terrible,like stale oil or grease. could have been someones head was resting on it (tall person) and had greasy hair or used hair cream.

eeeewwwww, sounds disgusting. I would probably try using shampoo on it, and maybe washing up liquid or washing detergent, other than that I don't know. rather you then me though! Have fun.
You will never get rid of the smell. Better to change your car now before the hot weather makes it worse.
I once had a similar problem with a dirty headlining many years ago, took a deep breath - and painted it with Magnolia emulsion ! It looked a treat.
Be carefull what you clean it with as some cars have headlinings that are glued to a board back. Try a valeting company as they have a wide range of products and may not charge too much just to the headlining. Won't hurt to ask.
