internet speed

is anyone else having problems with their internet speeds??
i am on virgin brodband and use yahoo for my mail. but this seems to be getting so slow at times it wont even connect. any ideas much appreciated.

Yes Ian, I'm on Virgin B/Band and the speeds yesterday and today have been really slow, sometimes at a total standstill.

Virgin are supposed to be doing upgrades so there are widespread disturbances.Thats what I read somewhere and my bloomin e-mail has not connected first time for days!

Ahhh, that'll be why the speed test I did Thursday evening was a paultry 2.6mb. I'm on Virgin too, done the test again this morning & it's 8.7mb.
