The toner cartridges for my Epson printer are £75 each and there is 4 of them. I have seen compatible ones for £40 each. Any thoughts on using them?

Yours may very weel be a different type of printer but we have just bought a new epson printer/copier, our last epson died. We always use compatible cartridges but with our new epson, which is wifi, we do not allow any updates and therefore it is unable to detect the non-epson cartridges. At least I think thats how it works. We don't print off pictures so expensive cartridges are not necessary for us.
I have used compatible refills from Choice Stationery and have had no trouble with them for Epson 400 and Epson sx445w. Don't use them until your warranty is out of date because they will invalidate the warranty
If they are from the Far East, then you will have to add tax plus other fees which will bring them too close to the £75 figure to make them worthwhile.

Rather than compatible cartridges, I have, with some success used refill kits on my mono laser – which works out significantly cheaper than a new cartridge.
