I'm assuming that you're trying to connect via a wireless router, in which case you'll need to enter the password for the wireless router ....... I think :P
Yes, my router has network key printed on it. Try that. Or may be sticker on the bottom of your laptop, if already installed.
If your network security key is not printed anywhere you could try this
open Control Panel > Network and sharing >View Network and sharing tasks, on that page you'll see your computer name, your internet service provider name and a globe. beneath that there is the name of your ISP again and Wireless connection, click on Wireless Connection, another window will open in that box, properties, click wireless properties, another window will open with two tabs, click on security, tick box to show characters write those characters down somewhere and that's the security key you are looking for (It's easy when you do it once). the characters wil be hidden by default next time you try that - if ever you have to do it again, but don't leave this security key left hanging around as someone could use your WiFi without your permission
To gain access to your router follow the instructions below. When I put the work 'type' I mean you have to type the following command without the ' 's

Start menu > run > type 'cmd' > type 'ipconfig'

You will see 4 lines of information. The one that says default gateway is the IP address you need to look at. For example 192.168.2.1

Open up internet explorer/firefox or any other browers you're using and input that IP address into the search bar.

You will then be directed to your routers 'home page'. It will ask for a password and login. If there isn't a password stamped on the router the chances are the username is 'admin' and the password is either blank or 'password' or 'admin'.

PLEASE TELL US WHAT ROUTER IT IS.

Once you get into the router you can go to the wireless settings and either change or view the wireless password.
