I think we've got the Tory conference due in Manchester soon. Usually have one or the other heralding traffic chaos with parts of town cut off due to the security zones, armed police standing guard and metal detectors.

Sure I saw a sign for it the other day. Can't imagine they see much of the real Manchester given they are cocooned in their posh hotel and secure area guarded by men with guns.

Well, I suppose they did Sandy (the football supporters).

But I hope they had a good day out, and enjoyed coming here. Lots of them came down into the town, before and after the game. They seemed jolly.

I wonder how long the journey is? They must have travelled for hours and hours.
