Every time I try and get my daily disposable soft contact lenses out, I seem to scratch the surface of the eye with my nails. Is there a suction device available solely for soft lenses?

I don't touch my eye when removing mine- I flick them out by holding down by bottom lid and pressing down on the upper lid
I use the pads of my fingers to gently grip the lens from either side so that I can squeeze them out. If my eyes are dry, the lenses seem to be stuck to the eye which makes them more difficult to remove so I put wetting drops in beforehand.
Nail clippers are $1.29 here in the U.S.
You want to use a suction device over you eye???

Make sure they are properly moist. You can get eyedrops which are ok with contacts though if it's a daily disposable then it doesn't really matter if you are just taking it out and binning it.

I used to be able to slide mine out with a slight pinch to get it to move off the eyeball.

I do agree with Clanad though - if you are having difficulties and are scratching your eye then if you want to keep wearing contacts you may need to cut them down if long and round off sharp edges, at least while you get used to them. You don't want to mess with your eyes and possibly end up not being able to wear contacts again at all!
I have long nails and get my lenses out using the pads of my initial fingers on both hands together in a sort of pincer movement so the nails don't come into contact with your eyeball

My nails are very short, but I will try a different pincer movement technique, as suggested. I think the problem is that my eyes are very dry and they get stuck to the lens, even though I have got extra moist contact lenses, supposedly.
