Another Eye Injury Question Please.
4 Answers
Son was bringing his bike in through the back gate when the elasticated toggle thing on his coat hood caught on something. Being a lad, rather than put the bike down, and sort his coat out, he just carried on and jerked the toggle to free it. Being on elastic, of course it loosened and came straight back and hit him fair and square in the eyeball.
No bruising or bleeding, but he feels really weak and sickly. Can a blow to the eyeball actually do any real damage?

Yes, for example a squash ball in the eyes socket can be quite nasty, but the description that you have given concerning your son's injury, shouldn't cause concern.
providing that he doesn't get double vision OR have difficulty in locking upwards or downwards, I would monitor the situation over the next 24 hours.
