Do you have the extra letters and words ? That is key to completing the puzzle.
If so, track them in the grid to give you a numerical shape: the first extra letter is at row 2, column 4, the second at row 2, column 7 etc. and the whole 7-word phrase reads intermittently, down the puzzle from row to row, left to right. You should have a visible number then (hence the title of the puzzle).
