Except for the period 10:00pm Saturday to 8:00am monday when they are only allowed by law to trade for 6 hours on sunday. I'm not sure whey they don't open till midnight saturday and reopen at just turned minight on Sunday.
The sign would look a bit daft with 'WE OPEN 24 HOURS EXCEPT FOT THE WEEKEND WHEN WE CLOSE AT 10:00PM SATURDAY AND ARE OPEN 6 HOURS SUNDAY BEFORE REOPENING 8:00AM MONDAY' on it!
you are not getting my point. At my local tesco on the large lit up sign it says 'OPEN 24 HOURS' but underneath it states opening times as 8am - 10pm mon-sat, 10 - 4 sunday.
How can they advertise it being open 24 hours when it clearly isn't. Now do you see my point, i can't make it any clearer. if i did go down there at 3.47am it would be closed, thanks to that guy for your answer.
